Synopsis
This gag-filled comedy is about a couple who run a diner near Las Vegas. In 1940 their only customer (it seems) is a footsore Illinois girl hitchhiking to Hollywood to certain stardom. Years later she returns—in a limousine—to bail out her old friends. “funny, disarming, and engaging.”
